What you need:5-8 red potatoes ( you can judge how many based on how many your feeding and I'm sure other tots would work but I've only ever used red)
Olive oil
garlic powder
chili powder
pepper and salt to taste ( i use sea or kosher salt only)
* any other favorite seasonings, I use zatarain's sometimes or greek seasoning
Heat oven to 400
Directions:
Wash potatoes and start slicing. I cut my taters length wise both ways to make fry like slices (see pictures), cutting them on the fat side ( as a potato lays naturally when set down) will create more of a chip then a fry. Let me know if you have questions about this.
Line a baking/cookie sheet with foil ( non stick if you have it) Cover with olive oil drizzle. Lay potato slices out drizzle a little with olive oil and then begin to season with ingredients above. I do garlic and salt on both sides but the other ingredients I pick one side each. Ingredients are really to your taste, feel free to play with them, add sage or some oregano, if you like things spicy you could do red pepper on one side.
Once you have coated one side with olive oil and seasonings place in oven for 12-15 min depending on the your liking to crispy or soft fries. Once the timer goes off, flip the fries and season again. Flipping is not the easiest, my husband chooses to toss sometimes because its really not easy and takes a little patience. Once done flipping and seasoning again put back in the oven for another 12-15. Check on them you may want to bake for just a little longer.
ENJOY!
