Grilled Blackened Fish Tacos

  • WHATS IN IT:
  • Sauce
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream 
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 
  • jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup thinly sliced white onion 
  • FISH RUB:
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • (6-ounce) tilapia fillets or Halibut also has great flavor

Careful not to over fill, I always do that.
  • (6-inch) corn tortillas ( or flour if thats your thing)
  • 1/2 ripe peeled avocado, thinly sliced 
  • 1C roughly chopped Cabbage
  • 1 tomato chopped, if you like

  • Directions:
  • 1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a food processor; process until smooth. Combine jalapeño sauce and onion in a small bowl.
  • 2. Combine Rub ingredients. Pat fish dry of excess water. Coat with olive oil and Rub. Heat Grill (or pan). Grill 4 min on each side or until desired doneness. 
  • 3. Heat tortillas in microwave slightly and spread sauce over them. Top with cooked fish, avocado, cabbage, and tomato. ENJOY!!
